Although this was a paid assignment, it was truly a passion project for me. As a BMX rider myself, filming Edwin Delarosa and Augie Simoncini was an incredibly rewarding experience. The video was captured using one of the first true 360 cameras - constructed from seven GoPros mounted in a custom 3D-printed rig (shown below).

 

   Syncing footage from seven cameras was complex, and stitching them together proved to be a significant technical challenge. This project was at the forefront of 360-degree filming technology. Additionally, I had to learn how to composite in 360, including the task of removing the tripod from the final footage and adding the logo.  Definitely watch it in a VR headset or even just on your phone with the Youtube app, for the best experience.
